Verdict
Gain is a content-approval tool first and a scheduler second. Its whole point is getting client sign-off without friction: clients review and approve posts by email or SMS without logging in, channels are unlimited, and you pay by team size and client count rather than per account.
Gain solves one specific, annoying problem: getting clients to actually look at and approve your posts. Instead of asking a client to learn a tool, Gain sends them the content by email or SMS, they reply to approve or request changes, and the feedback lands back in your calendar, with revisions tracked through each round. Client reviewers are unlimited and don't eat into your seats, and social accounts are unlimited on every plan, so an agency with a lot of channels per client isn't penalised. Pricing is flat by team size and number of client workspaces, starting at $99 a month on annual billing for three team members and six clients, with white-label from the Agency plan up. The trade-off is scope. Gain isn't trying to be a full suite: there's no social inbox, no listening, no evergreen recycling, and the analytics are light. It also skips YouTube and Bluesky. If your bottleneck is approvals and client communication, Gain is purpose-built and very good at it. If you need engagement, reporting, or recycling, you'll want it alongside another tool or pick something broader.
