HeyOrca explicitly lets clients approve posts without creating an account. SocialPilot offers approval links that invited clients can use without signing in. Sendible advertises email approvals without login, although its documented setup uses client user accounts. Planable's public links support viewing and comments, but formal approval requires a Planable account. HeyOrca, SocialPilot, Sendible, Planable. Maeve Social also offers account-free client approval links, with team-and-client workflows on Standard and Premium.
That distinction matters when a client says, “Please don't make me learn another tool.” An approval button in an emailed link may solve the problem even if your agency must first create a client record. A shared calendar with comments may still leave someone manually translating feedback into permission to publish.

HeyOrca offers an explicitly account-free client workflow
HeyOrca's external-stakeholder role does not come with a login or password. The agency adds the stakeholder's name and email address, then shares content using a link. The reviewer selects their name, opens a post and chooses Approve or Revise. Comments can carry the requested changes. Stakeholder setup, client review instructions.
This fits clients who will not create accounts. However, selecting a name should not be treated as proof of a strongly authenticated identity. HeyOrca says anyone holding a shareable link can view its shared content, and those links currently cannot be revoked. Share narrowly, particularly for unreleased campaigns. Link access and limitations.
You can require specific reviewers, with the post remaining pending until all required approvals are collected. Resetting or overriding multi-approval removes existing approvals. That documents a workflow reset, not a promise that every caption or media edit automatically resets sign-off. Multiple approvers.
For chasing deadlines, reminders can go out 24 hours, three days or seven days before the scheduled publishing time. Reminder settings. See our HeyOrca review for the broader scheduling trade-offs.
SocialPilot gives invited clients no-sign-in approval links
SocialPilot's Approve On-the-Go workflow sends a unique link alongside the client invitation. Clients can approve a post, return it for corrections and leave comments without signing in. The agency still sets up the client role and determines which social accounts it can access. Client workflow.
These links keep working until refreshed in the Users list. SocialPilot also documents a client portal showing relevant queued and delivered posts. This makes account scoping and link handling part of your onboarding checklist. Client-link behavior.
Check the Auto-Approve setting carefully. SocialPilot describes it as bypassing the client-approval requirement when approval is still missing one hour before the scheduled time. If your agreement requires explicit sign-off, leave that bypass disabled. Client invitation settings.
The documented workflow also gives managers discretion to approve rather than send content to the client. Treat role configuration and agency procedure as part of the safeguard. After approval, Content Schedulers cannot edit or delete the post, although higher-privilege roles can. Automatic reapproval after privileged edits needs confirmation. Workflow controls, editing permissions. Our SocialPilot review covers the rest of the product.
Sendible supports no-login email approval with an account caveat
Sendible says clients can approve content by email without a platform login. Its support instructions nevertheless create client users and assign approval requests to them. The client can avoid signing in, while the agency sets up the user record. A completely account-free guest-approval model is not established. Email approval claim, client setup.
One deadline behavior deserves attention: Sendible warns that approving a task after its scheduled time can send the post immediately. Reschedule it before approval if the original publishing window has passed. Its task workflow supports editing and routing a post for further approval, but the reviewed page does not promise automatic approval resets for every later change. Approval tasks.
Read our Sendible review if you also need client workspaces and reporting.
Planable public links collect feedback, while approval requires an account
Planable is explicit: public share links allow viewing and commenting, not approving. A public reviewer can identify themselves with a name or email to comment. Formal sign-off requires an invited account with approval permissions; Planable says approver accounts are free. Public sharing and approval rules.
There is a useful control after approval: Lock Content after Approval prevents changes to text, media, scheduling details and other post fields. To change locked content, someone must unapprove it or disable the setting. Choose Pro's required-approval mode when publication must depend on sign-off; Basic's optional mode does not enforce that requirement. Approval settings.
This can suit clients willing to accept an account in exchange for a structured review process. See our Planable review.
Maeve Social connects account-free client review to the team workflow
Maeve Social lets clients approve posts, request changes and comment through a batch link without creating an account or using a paid seat. Reviewers identify themselves with the invited email address; the agency can set an expiry or cancel the batch to end access. Standard and Premium include team-and-client workflows, so internal review can lead directly into client sign-off with feedback kept on the post. Maeve client reviews, approval workflows.
This is a useful fit when one client needs to review several posts together and the team wants revisions in the same conversation. See our Maeve Social review for the broader product.
Run this approval test before committing
Use disposable sample content and test accounts, not a live client's campaign.
- Send a review request to a fresh email address. Open it in a private browser window and on a phone. Record any account, password or identity step.
- Approve one post and request revisions on another. Check the recorded reviewer, time, comments and resulting publishing status.
- Change the approved post's caption, image, link and publishing time separately. Check whether each change blocks publication or requires fresh approval.
- Forward the link to a second test reviewer. Inspect what they can see or do, then test revocation or link refresh.
- Let a test deadline pass. Check reminders, bypass settings and what late approval does without allowing unintended public posting.
- Repeat on the plan you intend to buy. Trial access may include features absent from that plan.

Frequently asked questions
Does a shared calendar mean clients can approve posts?
No. Check for an explicit approval action that updates the publishing workflow. Planable's public links demonstrate why viewing and commenting alone are insufficient.
Which option most clearly requires no client account?

SocialPilot documents approval without sign-in after the agency invites the client. Compare the access setup and review controls that suit your clients. Maeve client reviews.
Does changing an approved post always trigger reapproval?
