Yes. Buffer Free can support one post every day to one Instagram account, one TikTok account and one Facebook Page, provided you keep refilling the queues and use supported publishing formats.

Its allowance is 10 scheduled posts per channel at a time, with up to three connected channels. A slot becomes available again when a post publishes. Buffer explicitly says this is not a monthly publishing allowance. Buffer's queue-limit explanation

That makes a 90-post, 30-day calendar possible. It does not let you load that entire daily calendar into the queues in one sitting.

What Buffer Free actually limits

A channel means one connected account or Page. Instagram, TikTok and a Facebook Page use all three free connections. A second Instagram account would require another connection. Buffer's Start Page link-in-bio tool also counts as a channel, so include it when checking your total. Buffer pricing

The ten available queue positions belong to each channel separately. Leaving Facebook empty does not give Instagram room for 20 scheduled posts.

There are also separate daily publishing limits. Buffer currently lists 50 Instagram posts, 25 TikTok posts and 35 Facebook posts per 24-hour period. The Instagram count includes posts, Reels and Stories. One post daily to each account is comfortably within those limits. Buffer daily posting limits

A 30-day calendar: 90 publications, three scheduling sessions

Assume you manage one account on each of the three networks, start with empty queues and want one publication per account per day. All content meets the relevant publishing requirements, and every scheduled publication succeeds.

The workload is:

  • 30 days × 1 Instagram post = 30 Instagram publications
  • 30 days × 1 TikTok post = 30 TikTok publications
  • 30 days × 1 Facebook post = 30 Facebook publications
  • Total: 90 publications, even if you reuse the same 30 content ideas

Here is one way to fit that into Buffer Free:

Scheduling sessionAdd to each channelTotal newly scheduledPeriod covered
Before day 110 posts30 postsDays 1 to 10
After all day-10 posts publish10 posts30 postsDays 11 to 20
After all day-20 posts publish10 posts30 postsDays 21 to 30

This is an initial fill followed by two refills. Each refill must happen before the next day's scheduled publishing time. Check the queues first if a post failed or remains pending.

A weekly refill is more forgiving. Start with ten days queued. After seven successful daily publications per channel, three remain, leaving room for seven more. That gives you a three-day cushion at each refill instead of letting the queues empty.

You can also prepare content ahead as drafts. Buffer lists unlimited drafts on Free, but a draft still needs to be scheduled before it can publish. Buffer plan comparison

The practical question is whether you can reliably return to the scheduler. If you want to prepare a month of daily posts and then leave it unattended, the free queue is too small.

Will those posts publish automatically?

The account type and post format matter as much as the allowance.

Instagram: use a Business or Creator account

Buffer supports automatic publishing for eligible content on Instagram professional accounts, meaning Business or Creator accounts. A personal Instagram account uses notification publishing: Buffer reminds you, and you finish the post in Instagram.

Professional accounts can connect directly through Instagram on the Free plan. A linked Facebook Page is an alternative connection method, rather than a universal requirement for basic automatic publishing. Buffer's Instagram connection guide

Some creative features still need manual completion. Music on posts or Stories, Story links, stickers and product tags can require notification publishing. Check whether the composer says Automatic or Notify Me before relying on an unattended schedule. Instagram publishing requirements

TikTok: personal and business accounts are supported

Buffer's current TikTok product page says it supports both personal and business accounts. It also cautions that availability can vary by account type or region. Eligible videos can auto-publish. Buffer's TikTok scheduler

If you want to add a trending sound from TikTok's music library or a poll, use notification publishing and complete the post in TikTok. Paying for a larger Buffer queue does not provide access to those unavailable API features. Buffer's TikTok guide

Facebook: distinguish Pages, Groups and personal profiles

Use a Facebook Page for this automatic daily-posting example. You connect it using a personal Facebook login with the required Page permissions. That login does not turn your personal profile into the publishing destination. Buffer cannot connect personal Facebook profiles. Facebook Page connection requirements

Facebook Groups use notification publishing, so they require a different workflow from Pages. Buffer's supported connections

Buffer Free versus Metricool Free for daily posting

Metricool's free allowance works differently. It includes one brand, with one profile per social network, and 20 actually published posts per calendar month across the planner. The counter resets on the first of the month. Publishing the same content to three networks uses three posts. Scheduling additional content does not increase the publishing allowance. Metricool's Free-plan rules

For our 30-day calendar contained within one calendar month:

  • Six days across three networks consume 18 publications
  • Two publications remain for day seven or another date
  • The 90-publication target exceeds the allowance by 70

Buffer Free therefore fits this particular daily schedule better if you are willing to refill it. Metricool Free can suit a lighter calendar, such as six three-network updates plus two individual posts each month.

When is upgrading Buffer worth it?

Consider paying when queue maintenance becomes a problem, you need a fourth connected account, or you need paid publishing features such as first-comment scheduling.

For three channels, Buffer Essentials currently costs US$18 per month on monthly billing. Annual billing costs US$180 upfront for those three channels, equivalent to US$15 per month, before applicable taxes. Every connected channel is paid for after upgrading, including the original free three. These totals multiply the published US-dollar first-ten-channel rates by three. Buffer payment terms explicitly establish U.S. dollars. Buffer pricing and features, billing FAQ

Paid scheduling is described as unlimited, with a fair-use ceiling of 5,000 queued posts per channel. That easily accommodates the example calendar. Buffer's scheduling limits

Frequently asked questions

Does Buffer Free only allow 10 posts a month?

No. The restriction is ten scheduled posts waiting in each channel's queue. Published posts free up space for new ones.

Can I schedule a whole month on Buffer Free?

Yes, if that month needs no more than ten scheduled posts per channel. Daily posting requires refills because a 30-day daily calendar needs 30 positions per account.

Does posting the same video to three accounts count as one post?

For this calendar, it creates three publications and occupies a position in each selected channel's queue. Reusing one video does not merge the accounts' schedules.

Is Buffer Free enough for daily Instagram, TikTok and Facebook posts?

It can be. Use eligible accounts and formats, keep the queues filled, and check publishing status. For a solo user comfortable with weekly maintenance, the free plan's main constraint is how far ahead the daily calendar can be loaded.
